(U) On July 1, 2005, Dominican fugitive Rocque Rodriguez Gonzalez was returned to the United States in the company of a U.S. Marshal. Rodriguez Gonzalez is wanted to stand trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on charges that he conspired to distribute cocaine, ref A. 2. (U) Rodriguez Gonzalez was arrested by the Dominican National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) on an arrest warrant issued pursuant to a USG request for extradition. Rodriguez Gonzalez waived his rights to an extradition hearing in front of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court and executed a witnessed, notarized affidavit indicating his desire to return voluntarily to the United States. 3. (U) Rodriguez Gonzalez is the 35th fugitive subject to extradition who has been returned to the United States during the second administration of President Leonel Fernandez. He is the 21st fugitive returned from the Dominican Republic to the United States in 2005. KUBISKE
