UNCLAS AMMAN 005129 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PHUM, PREF, PREL, JO, ICRC SUBJECT: MDA DEMARCHE BEFORE JUNE 27 OIC MEETING: JORDAN REF: STATE 118394 Acting PolCouns delivered reftel points on June 26 to Walid Obeidat in the Foreign Minister's private office. Obeidat gave no substantive response, but said he would pass the points directly to FM Qasrawi prior to the Foreign Minister's departure for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) meeting in Yemen. Qasrawi only briefly transited Jordan, between the Brussels Iraq conference and the OIC event, and was unable to see the Charge. HALE
