US embassy cable - 05KINGSTON1579

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

1. On June 23, Poloff delivered reftel talking points and
non-paper to Pamela Ingleton, Acting Deputy Director,
International Organizations Department, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT). Ingleton accepted the
message and said that she would share the information with
her department.

2. In a May 6 meeting with Angella Brown, Deputy Director,
International Organizations Department, MFAFT, Brown conveyed
to Poloff that her department and Foreign Minister K.D.
Knight would appreciate a demarche on the USG's position on
UN reform. Charge d'Affaires has requested a meeting with
Knight, who is currently traveling abroad. It is likely that
Brown will provide a more substantive response on this issue
when she returns from vacation in July. Post will report
accordingly.
