Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

SUBJECT: GOJ SUPPORTS U.S. HUMAN RIGHTS CANDIDATE
REF: A. STATE 099038
B. KINGSTON 001251
1. Per Ref A instructions, Poloff on June 3 met with Pamela
Ingleton, International Organizations Department (IOD),
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) to
again solicit GOJ support for Prof. Paolo Carozza in the June
7 IACHR elections, and to deliver talking points. As
reported Ref B, Poloff previously met with Angella Brown on
the subject of Carozza's candidacy on May 6. At that time,
she said that a substantive response would be forthcoming,
but MFAFT officials were unable to offer any definitive news
in the month leading up to the election date. Ingleton
welcomed the information and said she would research the
issue before offering a substantive response.
2. On June 7, Ingleton called Poloff to report that the IACHR
vote had taken place, and that the GOJ had supported Carozza
in the election.
