US embassy cable - 05SANAA1532

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

(C) Pol/Econ Chief delivered ref A notification to Deputy
Foreign Minister Noman on June 5. On ref B demarche
delivered by Ambassador June 1, Noman was unable to elaborate
on Foreign Minister Qirbi's "no objection" response to
Ambassador on the return of Yemeni detainees from GTMO (ref
C). The DFM reiterated official concerns that the ROYG has
not received adequate information from the USG on Yemeni
detainees at GTMO to determine that these individuals are, in
fact, Yemeni citizens.
