RODRIGUEZ E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: CJAN, CVIS, KCRM, SNAR, PA SUBJECT: EXTRADITION: PARAGUAY: CARLOS IVAN MENDES MESQUITA REFS: 04 STATE 266217 AND SUBSEQUENT 1. On May 30, the Court of Appeals upheld the extradition order for Carlos Ivan Mendes Mesquita on the grounds the appeal had not been filed in a timely manner. The defense has until June 14 to file an appeal to the Supreme Court. Post expects that the Court should make a final ruling in the case by the end of June. 2. Post will forward a copy of the decision to L/LEI. KEANE
