1.  (C) During a May 19 meeting with Poloff, MEA Director 
(Americas) Renu Pall expressed gratitude on behalf of the 
MEA's Americas and International Security divisions for 
keeping them in the loop on Washington's diplomatic CT 
efforts (Refs A-D).  Admitting that MEA had limited 
information on terrorist groups based outside of South Asia, 
she remarked that keeping her apprised of our intentions to 
act against these groups signaled that US-India engagement on 
CT is "more than a tactical relationship."  Pall also thanked 
us for what she called a "long and laborious process" to add 
Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) to the UNSC 1267 Committee Sanctions 
list (Ref D). 
 
2.  (C) Pall had no substantive comments on Refs A-C 
designations.
