US embassy cable - 05VIENNA1715

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

SUBJECT: FOURTH GLOBAL FORUM ON FIGHTING CORRUPTION -
AUSTRIAN RESPONSE

REF: STATE 63279

On May 23, Poloff contacted Maria Steinbauer in the Austrian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Office of Coorperation on
Counterterrorism, Drug Trafficking, Organized Crime, and
Money Laundering to offer our assistance and encourage
senior-level Austrian participation in the upcoming Fourth
Global Forum on Fighting Corruption (GF IV). The government
of Austria, according to Steinbauer, received the GF IV
information and registration materials in early May from the
Brazilian Embassy in Vienna and distributed this information
to the Austrian Ministry of Interior and other relevant
ministries. Austria has not yet named a delegation to the GF
IV.
