UNCLAS MAPUTO 000612 SIPDIS PASS TO AF/S - HTREGER E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: MZ, UNSC, UNGA, Demarche SUBJECT: MOZAMBIQUE: ICJ DEMARCHE DELIVERED REF: SECSTATE 80697 On May 12, Econ/Poloff delivered reftel demarche and diplomatic note to Ministry of Foreign Affairs official Ismael Valigy. Valigy commented that the GRM was aware of the ICJ elections, but that it was not yet familiar with the full list of candidates. He stated he would make the Director of the Department of International Organizations aware of USG's support for reelection of Judge Buergenthal, as well as forward the information to Mozambique's mission in New York for consideration.
