(SBU) Embassy on April 29 provided reftel talking points as a non-paper to MFA Africa-Middle East Director Jose Juan Hernandez Cimadevilla and on May 3 emphasized our request that the Dominican Republic, as a member of the coalition, issue a statement of support for the Iraq Transitional Government. Hernandez subsequently informed us that on May 5 he had sent an action memo through Deputy Foreign Minister Alejandra Liriano to Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso. Embassy requested that Hernandez inform us of any decision. HERTELL
