(U) Poloff and Envoff delivered Ref demarche to Aiyman Aamri, Deputy Director of the International Organizations section of the Foreign Ministry, on June 26. Aamri told Poloff that he has forwarded the issue to New York for consultation, but after inquiring about the Vatican's position on the issue, he indicated that Jordan would likely support a total ban on all human cloning for religious reasons.
