S E C R E T ABUJA 001814 SIPDIS NOFORN LONDON FOR GURNEY PARIS FOR NEARY E.O.12958: DECL: 06/10/12 TAGS: PREL, EPET, TP, NI SUBJECT: NIGERIA: NSA MOHAMMED REMARKS ON SAO TOME REF: STATE 116489 CLASSIFIED BY CHARGE TIM ANDREWS. REASON 1.5 (B) and (D). 1. (S/NF) Regional Affairs Counselor raised Nigeria's relations with Sao Tome and Principe (STP) with National Security Advisor Aliyu Mohammed last week. While Mohammed did not talk expansively, he stated that the bilateral relationship was friendly and good. He gave no indication of any strain, at least from the Nigerian perspective. 2. (C) Pursuant to reftel, we will attempt to locate the Sao Tomean representative to solicit his views. ANDREWS
