UNCLAS MAPUTO 000538 SIPDIS STATE FOR AF/S - TREGER E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: TBIO, PREL, PTER, MZ, WHO, HIV/AIDS/PEPFAR SUBJECT: WHO: INTERNATIONAL HEALTH REGULATIONS DEMARCHE - MOZAMBIQUE RESPONSE REF: STATE 73041 On April 28, Econ/Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Cesar Gouveia, Acting Director of International Organizations at the Mozambican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Gouveia had no substantive response to U.S. position, but stated that he would pass on the information to the appropriate persons in the Ministry of Health. He said that the Ministry of Health would send representatives to the May 12-13 WHO Intergovernmental Working Group Meeting in Geneva. Gouveia will also pass the information on to the appropriate persons at the Ministry of Defense. LALIME
