(C) Foreign Minister Qasrawi told Charge on April 28 that King Abdullah's meeting earlier this month with Iraqi journalists visiting Jordan (reftel) was part of a focused strategy to improve relations with Iraq, strained after reports last month that a Jordanian carried out a suicide bombing in Hilla. According to Qasrawi, positive Iraqi press coverage of Jordan has resulted from the King's efforts. Post would appreciate any observations Embassy Baghdad can offer on this subject. 2.
