UNCLAS OTTAWA 001256 SIPDIS DEPT FOR OES/OMC (BRAJEVICH) AND L/T (MALIONEK) E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: EFIS, KTIA, CA SUBJECT: PACIFIC SALMON TREATY AMENDMENT REF: SECSTATE 75706 Per reftel, Embassy sent diplomatic note and attachments regarding the Pacific Salmon Treaty Amendment on May 26, 2005 to Foreign Affairs Canada. According to a representative of Foreign Affairs' Oceans Law Division, the GOC response will require an "Order in Council," or cabinet-level approval.
