(U) Post is not aware of any new investment disputes or expropriation claims in 2005. 2. (U) Our 2004 submission reported on a long-standing claim of two United States companies, Cargill and Louis Dreyfuss, against the Government of Tanzania. This claim has since been settled. (Please see reftel B.) In June 2004, the Government of Tanzania signed an agreement with the companies and in December 2004 made the first of two payments, as agreed. The second and final payment is due by June 2005, and is expected to be made on schedule. 3. (U) No other disputes or claims are outstanding. STILLMAN
