UNCLAS KUWAIT 001539 SIPDIS SENSITIVE FOR NEA/ARPI - BERNS, AND PRM/ANE - WARD E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PREF, KPAL, KU, PRES SUBJECT: KUWAIT DEMARCHE DELIVERED: UNRWA EMERGENCY APPEAL REF: STATE 65023 (SBU) Ambassador raised on April 17 with Ministry of Foreign Affairs Under Secretary Khaled Al-Jarallah the emergency appeals from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Al-Jarallah noted the GOK's contributions to the UNRWA regular budget and said if approached by the UN, Kuwait would have "no problem" in responding to the appeal. LEBARON
