Faquira stated that the GRM is debating its response to the European Union member states' request for enhanced European Community participation rights in negotiations of the proposed Convention. Faquira noted that Mozambique and other AU member states will vote together on this issue. He indicated that the AU position being discussed does not diverge significantly from the U.S. position.
