Embassy received a letter dated April 4 and CD-Rom from Vice Minister of Trade Luong Van Tu transmitting documents the GVN has prepared in preparation for the next Working Party on Vietnam's WTO accession. The letter requested another round of WTO bilateral negotiations with the United States in Washington, D.C. April 25-29. Embassy emailed the documents contained on the CD-Rom to EAP/BCLTV via encrypted email. Text of the letter follows in paragraph 2. 2. Unofficial translation of the text of the letter: Begin text: Ministry of Trade 31 Trang Tien Street Ha Noi, Vietnam H.E. Mr. Michael W. Marine United States Ambassador to Vietnam 7 Lang Ha Str., Hanoi Vietnam Dear Mr. Ambassador, I would like to send you enclosed herewith the documents that we have provided to the WTO Secretariat for the 10th Session of the Working Party on Vietnam's accession. Following the bilateral meeting in Washington, D.C. from 14- 16 March 2005, we already sent the revised goods offer for the U.S. We would highly appreciate if the United States can arrange the next bilateral negotiation from 25th to 29th April 2005 in Washington D.C. I hope that the flexibilities from both sides will be able to narrow the gap to achieve the favorable results for our mutual benefits. Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks for your valuable support and assistance to our process of WTO accession and look forward to hearing from you in the earliest time possible.
