Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS AMMAN 002706 SIPDIS STATE FOR NEA/LEA STATE ALSO FOR EB/TPP/IPE/AND IO/T E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: ETRD, KIPR, EAID, OIIP, JO, WIPO SUBJECT: WIPO SESSION ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND DEVELOPMENT - JORDAN REF: STATE 47851 1. Econoff delivered reftel non-paper to counterparts in the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade and to the National Library, which has responsibility for IPR enforcement issues. While GOJ officials took on board the points and indicated general sympathy with the message, they were not yet prepared to give substantive comments and were unable to confirm at this time whether the GOJ would be able to send a representative from the capital to attend subject session on April 11-13. As an FTA partner, the GOJ has been attempting to bolster its IPR regimes, and the National Library is hoping to embark on a major IPR public awareness campaign. Post will forward substantive comments as we receive them. HALE
