UNCLAS BRATISLAVA 000274 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: ETRD, KIPR, EAID, KPAO, OIIP, LO, WIPO SUBJECT: SLOVAK RESPONSE TO WIPO SESSION ON IPR AND DEVELOPMENT REF: STATE 47851 Per reftel, Econoff delivered talking points to Katarina Leligdonova from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Michal Vrabel of the Ministry of Economy, and Darina Kylianova from the Slovak Office of Industrial Property. According to Leligdonova and Kylianova, the GOS strongly supports the World Intellectual Property Organization's (WIPO) role as a global development tool. The GOS also concurs with the USG and will actively support the stance that WIPO has a unique position as a specialized agency in the UN and that its primary mission should not be modified.
