1. Country clearance is granted for U.S. Marshal, Christina

Rodriguez, at Hotel Melia Fenix, Calle Hermosilla no. 2, 28006 
Madrid, tel.: 91 4316700, from April 4 to April 8, 2005. The rate 
per room and night _167.80/$230.00 (VAT included) and breakfast 
buffet is _26.75/$36.40 (VAT included) 
 
3. Kim Wise at US Embassy Madrid will meet USM upon arrival and 
accompany them to Hotel. 
 
 
4. Please be advised that Spanish visas are required for holders 
of official/diplomatic passports coming to Spain on official 
business. 
 
 
5. In general, Spain is safe. However, Madrid, Barcelona and 
other large cities in Spain - including resort/convention areas 
such as Benidorm - attract a large number of criminals and 
pickpockets and frequent incidents of crime of opportunity 
against the unwary do occur. Carry only essential items including 
a photo-copy of your passport's photo page. Visitors can protect 
themselves against crime by being street-smart, alert and aware 
of their surroundings.  In the event you are victimized by crime,
