1. Jordanian Customs Director General Mahmoud Qteishat
confirmed May 6 that his agency would send three
representatives to the Barcelona conference on transshipment:
-- Faisal Ahmad al-Sarhan, Director of Inspection
-- Fadi Baker Makhlouf, Director of the al-Omary Customs House
-- Mohammad Fayez Obeidat, Head of International Cooperation

2. This seems to be an appropriate mix of officials
responsible for policy and enforcement. Customs has
coordinated its representation with the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
3. Post is booking flights and will provide per diem and
finalize travel arrangements upon receipt of fiscal data. We
understand that Department will make hotel reservations at
the Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona.
