Clearance is requested for Regional Educational Advising Coordinator for South America Rosemarie C. Arens to travel to Colombia. 2.Ms. Arens will assist with the country workshop for Colombian Advisers that will be held in Armenia from April 12 through 14, 2005 where she will make several presentations. 3.Ms. Arens also plans to visit the educational advising centers in the Armenia, Bogota, Cali, and Medellin binational centers as well as the Fulbright Commission and COLFUTURO. At each BNC site, the REAC will assess the educational advising center's needs as well as evaluate its management and services in terms of criteria for affiliation of the educational advising center with the Department of State. She also expects to meet with the educational adviser and binational center executive director at each site to discuss the evaluation and any REAC recommendations that result from the visit. 4.In Bogota, Ms. Arens would appreciate a meeting with the PAO and CAO at their convenience to discuss educational advising, as well as appointments with the appropriate officer at the U.S. Consulate and the Commercial Section to discuss topics relevant to educational advising work. 5.Travel itinerary follows: SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 2005 -- Arrive Bogota at 14:07 pm TACA Flight TA 0132 from Lima.
