Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

EpolOff received a telephone response to reftel A from
Bernardo Dominguez, General Secretary of the Junta de
Aeronautica Civil ("JAC" or the Civil Aeronautics
Department). Dominguez informed post that Vina Tarapaca Ex
Zavala S.A. had not intended to conduct any illegal act in
the United States. However, when asked if JAC had spoken
with someone from Vina Tarapaca, Dominguez responded that
no/no such contact with the company had been made. He
continued by describing Vina Tarapaca as a "serious company"
which maintains a good reputation in Chile. Dominguez
commented that if the USG decided to pursue the case, a claim
would need to be filed with an aviation judge from DGAC (the
Director General of Civil Aviation, similar to the FAA).
