1. (C) Commerce Minister Abdullah Taweel told Poloffs
February 6 that the GOK effort to rid the country of
militants was "just beginning." He said there are
approximately 250 people in Kuwait who have been identified
as suspected militants and are wanted by the government.
2. (C) Taweel, who had attended a Council of Ministers
(Cabinet) meeting earlier the same day, said that the Council
had adopted a comprehensive, government-wide anti-terror plan
during the meeting (NFI).
3. (U) Post will provide details of the comprehensive plan as
they become available.
