On February 4, Econ Unit Chief delivered reftel text to Florian Lorenz, Head of the MFA's Multilateral Scientific Cooperation and Space Affairs Unit. Lorenz said the GoA appreciated the USG approach on space mitigation guidelines in the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. Lorenz remained noncommittal about GoA support for the USG position, but promised he would discuss the issue with his EU counterparts at next week's European Space Agency committee meetings. Brown
