Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS BRASILIA 000289 SIPDIS SENSITIVE UNVIE FOR IAEA E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: KNNP, PARM, MNUC, BR, IAEA, NPT, Non-Proliferation SUBJECT: BRAZIL AND THE IAEA: LATEST ON RESENDE NUCLEAR ENRICHMENT FACILITY REF: 04 BRASILIA 2913 (SBU) According to Ministry of External Relations (MRE) Disarmament and Sensitive Technologies (DDS) Division Chief Santiago Mourao, the IAEA has granted its okay for commissioning of the Resende uranium enrichment facility. The commissioning will take place after operational testing to begin in mid-February. Mourao believed that when operational, Resende would not be enriching fuel up to the levels allowed by the IAEA. Mourao noted that there were still small technical details that needed to be worked out between the GOB and the IAEA, for example, the issue of cost sharing. Danilovich
