US embassy cable - 05MADRID185

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

Poloff delivered reftel talking points to Antonio Garcia
Roger, MFA Assistant to the Deputy Director General of Human
Rights on January 18. Garcia Roger transmitted our position
on a resolution on Afghan women to Jose Antonio de Ory Peral,
MFA Deputy Director General of Human Rights, via telephone
and fax. De Ory Peral was attending EU Council Working Group
on Human Rights (COHOM) meetings in Brussels and did not have
an immediate comment. He promised to get back to us later on
Spain's views.
