US embassy cable - 04KUWAIT3877

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

DCM delivered reftel demarche to Ambassador Abdullah
Al-Murad, Director of the MFA Department of International
Organizations, November 10. Al-Murad said Kuwait was "100%
against human cloning," but fully supported stem cell and
other types of research which the GOK fears the resolution
would severely limit. He said he did not yet have a
definitive answer, but hoped Kuwait could vote with the U.S.
He promised to contact Kuwaiti PermRep Nabila al-Mulla to
further discuss the GOK position.
