SUBJECT: CROATIA APPROVES DISTRIBUTION OF FORMER SFRY FMS 
FUNDS

1. On October 28, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
provided us with the diplomatic note (text para 2) approving 
of reftel proposed distribution of former SFRY FMS funds.  We 
have faxed a copy of the note to EUR/SCE. 
 
2. Begin Dipnote Text: 
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia 
presents its compliments to the Embassy of The United States 
of America in Zagreb, and pursuant to the notification 
concerning the funds remaining on the account of the U.S. 
Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) which were meant 
for defense cooperation with the former SFRY, has the honor 
to inform that the Government of the Republic of Croatia 
agrees with the proposed distribution of those funds 
according to the percentage share determined in Article 5 
paragraph 2 of Annex C to the Agreement on Succession Issues 
that entered into force on 4 June 2004 and allocation of the 
relevant amount to the Foreign Military Sales account 
established for the Croatian Government. 
 
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia 
avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of 
the United States in Zagreb the assurances of its highest 
consideration.
