Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS THE HAGUE 002779 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: AORC, UNGA, UN SUBJECT: 59TH UNGA ELECTIONS: REPASCH FOR RE-ELECTION TO THE UN JSPC REF: SECSTATE 232089 Peter Ramaer (MFA Deputy Director of UN affairs) thanked Poloff for ref points and CV for Tom Repasch's candidacy to the Joint Staff Pension Committee when delivered on October 29. He said it had been his understanding that WEOG in New York had agreed a clean slate of candidates (agreement dated October 26, New York), with Kuntzle of Germany and Repasch of the U.S. listed for the subject posts. As this should mean these two are effectively elected, he was puzzled why reftel characterized the election as contested. Poloff agreed to provide further information about the elections should that be necessary. SOBEL
