UNCLAS SANAA 002723 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PREL, ETRD, YM, DEMARCHE SUBJECT: DEMARCHE DELIVERED: CUBA'S UN RESOLUTION AGAINST THE EMBARGO REF: STATE 215870 On October 16 Pol/Econ Chief delivered reftel demarche to Deputy Foreign Minister Mustafa Noman. Noman responded that Yemen voted on the side of Cuba in 2003 and was not likely to change its position in 2004. He added that it was necessary to maintain the "friendly relationship" with Cuba established by the former (southern) Peoples Democratic Republic of Yemen. KRAJESKI
