UNCLAS DUBLIN 001488 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: AORC, PARM, PREL, CDG, UNGA SUBJECT: IRELAND AND THE US DRAFT REFORM RESOLUTION FOR FIRST DISARMAMENT COMMITTEE REF: STATE 209789 Emboff delivered non-paper reftel points on October 1 to the members of the UN Section at the DFA, Paul Barnwell, Julian Clare and Eoin Duggan. The Head of the Disarmament Committee of the UN Section, Adrian McDade is currently in New York for the First Committee hearings. The talking points and non-paper have been sent to McDade, who is the chief decision-maker on the matter of revitalizing the General Assembly. As he informs the DFA of any relevant actions or plans, post will report in septel. KENNY
