US embassy cable - 04THEHAGUE2366

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

POLCOUNS passed ref A schedule for the G-8 BMENA Forum for
the Future Preparatory Meetings and list of Business and
Civil Society Dialogue invitees to Bahia Tahzib-Lie in the
Dutch MFA's Department of Political Affairs on September 16;
ref b update was passed on September 17. ECONOFF shared
reftel schedule and update with Jan Hurner, U.S. desk officer
at the Ministry of Economic Affairs on September 17.
POLCOUNS also discussed Dutch participation in the September
23-24 meetings with Jaap Werner, Director of the Political
Affairs Department. Tahzib-Lie and Werner confirmed that
Dutch FM Bot would attend the September 24 meeting. They
also anticipated that Dutch POLDIR Hugo Siblesz would
participate in at least the first part of the September 23
meeting chaired by U/S Larsen, although they could not
positively confirm his participation at this time. If
Siblesz was unable to attend all or part of the September 23
meeting, Michiel den Hond, Director of the MFA's Department
of North Africa and Middle East Affairs, would plan to take
his place.
