SUBJECT: UPU - ANGOLA REQUESTS USG SUPPORT IN ELECTIONS

Embassy received note verbale from the Angolan Consulate in
Rotterdam via Amconsulate Amsterdam requesting USG support
for Angola to membership on the council of administration of
the Universal Postal Union. As requested by IO/T (ref a),
Embassy faxed (ref b) the text of the note to IO staff
assistants on September 16 for action.
