We delivered reftel demarche to Deputy Foreign Minister Tatul Margarian, who professed surprise that there was a PKK/Kongra Gel presence in Armenia. He immediately assured us, however, that the Armenian government would "take the appropriate steps," that he would raise the issue with senior government leaders August 2, and that he would let us know in the near future what concrete steps the GOAM would be taking.
