This is the Southeastern Turkey press summary for June 18, 2004. Cumhuriyet / During ex-Kurdish MPs visit in Bitlis, people were banned by the police from talking to them. It is reported that police also closed some roads to prevent people from joining in the meeting. 3. Milliyet, Ozgur Gundem / In Guclukonak, Sirnak, during a raid by the alleged terrorists, a Turkish soldier was killed. 4. Sabah / During the operations in Mus, two village guards were wounded. 5. Sabah Guney / Workers' Party Adana Youth Branch gathered in front of their party building to protest the coming Istanbul NATO Summit. 6. Ozgur Gundem / People's Party Forces (HPG) announced that they would not be active unless an operation was launched against them.
