FITZPATRICK, POLITICAL COUNSELOR. REASON 1.4 (B) & (D) (C) We discussed reftel points on June 9 with Marcos Rodriguez Cantero in the Foreign Ministry's Office of International Disarmament Affairs. Rodriguez said Spain welcomes U.S. views on the June IAEA DG report and agrees with the need for a strong resolution on Iran at the upcoming IAEA Board of Governor's meeting. He said Spain's ambassador in Vienna is working with other EU ambassadors to draft a response to the DG report and is considering next steps on Iran-IAEA issues. MANZANARES
