UNCLAS THE HAGUE 001343 SIPDIS STATE FOR L/CID/JNICOL E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: EINV, KIDE, NL SUBJECT: 2004 REPORT ON INVESTMENT DISPUTES AND EXPROPRIATION CLAIMS: NETHERLANDS REF: STATE 78697 This cable is in response to reftel request for information pursuant to Section 527 of the FY94-95 Foreign Relations Authorization Act (the "Helms Amendment"). There have been no instances of government expropriation of private property, intellectual or otherwise, brought to the attention of the American Embassy or the Dutch government. Similarly, there have been no instances of disputes regarding American investment in The Netherlands or of the Dutch government failing to honor an investment related contract. SOBEL
