MFA Deputy Director for West Africa, Roel van der Veen,
informed PolOff that Dutch Ambassador to Liberia (resident
Abidjan) Hans Jansing and staff will travel to Monrovia on
May 16. They plan to meet with U.S. Embassy officials next
week to discuss, among other issues, security sector reform
(SSR) in Liberia. Van der Veen noted that, because of this
visit, it is unlikely that any Dutch representative will
travel to Monrovia for the May 25 meeting outlined in reftel
b.
