De Palacio said he would confer with Spain's UN delegation in New York. He later called Poloff on April 7 to say that Spain had no plans to issue a statement on the ICTY/ICTR resolution because at the time of the vote on UNSCR 1534, the Spanish delegation understood there was an agreement among Security Council members that no such individual country statements would be made.
