1. (S) Ref A requested posts to report on steps to improve
US-Russian counter-terrorism (CT) coordination and
communication in the field. We had already included the
Russian Embassy in the G-8 CTAG meeting we hosted February 7
(ref B), and we will continue to do so. Russia has no
declared intelligence officers here and thus no liaison with
the GOK, nor any point-of-contact for us to deal with. We
will nevertheless approach the Russian Ambassador here with
information in reftel to explore possibilities.
