US embassy cable - 04AMMAN1532

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

1. (C) PolOff delivered reftel demarche and non-paper
February 26 to Rima Alaadeen, Deputy Director of the
International Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Alaadeen said the GOJ most likely would not be
opposed, in principle, to a U.S. proposal calling for the
UNDC to focus on internal improvement in its upcoming spring
session. However, she asked that the USG share the
"specifics" of such a proposal with the Jordanian UN mission
in New York prior to its introduction in the UNDC.
