Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

C O N F I D E N T I A L AMMAN 001532 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: DECL: 03/01/2014 TAGS: AORC, PARM, PREL, JO, UNDC, CDG SUBJECT: UN DISARMAMENT COMMISSION (UNDC) DEMARCHE: JORDAN REF: STATE 39091 Classified By: Acting DCM Doug Silliman for Reasons 1.5 (b), (d) 1. (C) PolOff delivered reftel demarche and non-paper February 26 to Rima Alaadeen, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alaadeen said the GOJ most likely would not be opposed, in principle, to a U.S. proposal calling for the UNDC to focus on internal improvement in its upcoming spring session. However, she asked that the USG share the "specifics" of such a proposal with the Jordanian UN mission in New York prior to its introduction in the UNDC. Please visit Embassy Amman's classified web site at http://www.state.sgov.gov/p/nea/amman/ or through the Department of State's SIPRNET site. GNEHM
