Post received a diplomatic note from the UAE MFA with the final text of the TIFA. There were no changes to the text, from the USG revised text reftel. The UAEG requests that we fix a signing date at the earliest opportunity. Post will fax the English language text to the Desk and to USTR. We are expecting a copy of the Arabic text shortly and will pass it as soon as we receive it. 2. Informal Embassy translation of the diplomatic note follows: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of the United Arab Emirates directs its complements to the Embassy of the United States and has the honor to send the draft text of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) between the United Arab Emirates and the United States in its final form. Please propose the earliest possible time to sign the agreement. 3. Action Request: Please advise as to dates in March that we can propose to the UAEG for signature. Wahba
