Reasons 1.5 (b) and (d). 1. (C) Embassy's preliminary investigation of TELETEC Corporation indicates that TELETEC is currently under investigation by the U.S. Customs Department. It is our understanding that this investigation is sensitive in nature and thus we suggest PM/DTCC case officer confer with U.S. Customs on the current status of the investigation. Post confirmed that the end user of application 05-908498 is the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) General Headquarters (G. H. Q.). JAF GHQ has placed an order with TELETEC Corporation for the entire amount listed on the application. After the status of the U.S. Customs investigation is determined, post is prepared to conduct a site visit to the company if the Department thinks one would be useful.
