UNCLAS KUWAIT 005209 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: ECON, ETRD, MU, QA, BA, SA, KU, WTRO, GCC, USTR, TC SUBJECT: GCC CONFORMITY CERTIFICATION SCHEME FOR COUNTRIES EXPORTING TO GCC MEMBER COUNTRIES REF: SECSTATE 243476 On November 9, 2003, Embassy received GOK Finance Ministry's note dated October 21, 2003, which contained the Public Authority for Industry's Visions and Remarks regarding the GCC Certificate of Conformity Program. A GOK delegation plans to meet with the US delegation on the margins of the informal meetings of the Committee on the Technical Barriers to Trade in Geneva this month to discuss the points connected with the Certificate of Conformity Program.
