(S) PolCouns on November 5 delivered to Ali al-Ayed, Office Director of Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher, ref points on the possible transit of PKK/KADEK members through Jordan to attend a PKK conference in Iraq. PolCouns asked that Jordan to prevent PKK members from entering Iraq through Jordan. Ayed said that the GOJ would do what it could, but asked whether the USG could provide more specific information on names of PKK members expected to try to transit through Jordan, or possible travel dates or routes. He promised to pass the information to the appropriate agencies. GNEHM
