UNCLAS THE HAGUE 002683 SIPDIS MONTREAL PLEASE PASS TO ICAO MISSION EB/TRA/OTP FOR AMY RADETSKY E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: EAIR, NL, ICAO SUBJECT: MONTREAL CONVENTION ON AIRLINE ACCIDENT LIABILITY: DUTCH PROGRESS REF: SECSTATE 261967 EconOff delivered ref demarche to Netherlands Ministry of Transport officials Monique van Wortel (International Affairs) and Jeroen Mauritz (Air Transport Division). Parliament is currently considering the required legislation, and Mauritz said on October 17 that the Ministry is not expecting any problems or delays. He predicted that ratification would be complete by the end of calendar year 2003. The Ministry of Justice has been firmly behind ratification and is helping ensure all of the Second Chamber's questions are properly answered. SOBEL
