Hale for reasons 1.5 (B)(D) 1. (C) PolCouns on October 20 conveyed to Ali al-Ayed, Director of Foreign Minister Muasher's Private Office, and Basheer Zoubi, MFA Private Office Iraq Action Officer, ref points on the need to identify and secure orphaned and illicitly trafficked radioactive sources from Iraq. Ayed said he understood that Jordanian border inspectors are already under instructions to identify and seize suspicious shipments, vehicles, and persons coming from Iraq, including shipments with excessive radioactivity. He promised to pass the points to the relevant GOJ agencies. 2. (S/NF) ORCA will also double track these points in its channels. GNEHM
